Like many schools, Karaka School has an Agricultural Day (sometimes called Calf Club Day). This has been the show case of our school since the 1920s. Children are given the opportunity over preceding months to rear, train and prepare calves, lambs, kid goats, horses, chickens and piglets for a range of competitions held at AG Day. To ensure that all children have the chance to be involved there are also horticultural activities and a number of other activities and events. These usually include indoor art and craft and handwork themes, and stalls.
AG day is a great family day with involvement of all family members encouraged and welcomed.
