Jump Jam
We had another very successful year at the 2010 National Jump Jam
Aerobics Championships with both our teams coming home with National Titles
under our coach/choreographer Kristie Thomas. The teams traveled to Taupo and
competed on Saturday 20th November in the Taupo Events Centre in front of a
large audience.
Our Year 4-6 Boys Team and our Year 7&8 Boys teams performed
exceptionally well scoring perfect 10's in a number of categories. Both teams
performed the song 'Gonna Make You Sweat/ Here We Go Lets Rock and Roll' with
the Year 4-6 taking on a basketball theme to their choreography and the Year
7&8 team performing a full hip hop routine with some very complex
sequences.
After 5 years of National competitions Karaka School
now have 6 National Championship titles, one silver and one bronze. This makes
our school the best performing school in the entire country. With only just
over 200 students over the years, this is something we should all be very proud
of. We are known as 'the ones to beat.'
Our results have definitely put our school on the map.
